Implementing Directive 35-CT/TW of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels leading to the 13th National Party Congress, and the plans of the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee and the Hai Phong Enterprise Bloc Party Committee, the 2nd Congress of the ASHICO Party Cell for term 2020–2025 was held on 29 May 2020.

Implementing Directive 35-CT/TW of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels leading to the 13th National Party Congress; Plan No. 179-KH/TU and Notice No. 36-TT/TU of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee on Party congresses at all levels leading to the 16th Hai Phong Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress; and Plan No. 52-KH/ĐUK of the Hai Phong Enterprise Bloc Party Committee on congresses of grassroots party cells for term 2020–2025; with the approval of the Hai Phong Enterprise Bloc Party Committee, the Congress of the ASHICO Party Cell for term 2020–2025 was held on 29 May 2020.

All Party members of the Cell attended the Congress in full.

Attending and directing the Congress was Ms Trần Thị Quỳnh Trang — Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Enterprise Bloc Party Committee.

In a spirit of urgent and serious work, in half a day, the ASHICO Party Cell Congress completed all scheduled contents:

  • Review of the implementation of the 2015–2020 Congress Resolution; setting of goals, targets, tasks, and solutions for the Cell for term 2020–2025;
  • Discussion of and contributions to the draft documents of the 13th Party Congress and the draft Political Report of the 3rd Congress of the Hai Phong Enterprise Bloc;
  • Election of a 3-member Cell Executive Committee for term 2020–2025. Mr Nguyễn Sơn was re-elected as Secretary of the Party Cell for the new term;
  • Election of delegates to the Congress of the Hai Phong Enterprise Bloc: 1 official and 1 alternate.

As a broad political event marking a new development stage of the unit, promoting democracy while upholding Party principles, discipline, and order, strengthening unity and raising the Party’s leadership capacity, and fostering the intellect and responsibility of members, the ASHICO Party Cell Congress was a great success.

The challenges ahead may be many, but with the spirit of unity, democracy, and a dedicated, highly responsible team of Party members, the ASHICO Party Cell is determined to successfully carry out every task set out in the 2020–2025 Congress Resolution.
