21/07/2021

With the shortage of medical protective equipment at healthcare facilities in the city, on the morning of 21 July 2021, Ashico’s leadership and the Chairman of the Trade Union Executive Committee visited and donated medical protective equipment to representatives of Thu Duc Regional General Hospital.

With the Covid-19 pandemic continuing to develop complicatedly, pressure mounted on frontline hospitals and healthcare facilities treating Covid-19 patients. Doctors and medical staff were exhausted fulfilling their duties. Under such pressure, healthcare facilities running low on masks, protective gear, and support equipment urgently needed community support to strengthen the fight against the pandemic.
Continuing the “ASHICO’s HEART — CONTRIBUTING IN THE PANDEMIC” programme, following the donation of 200 gift packages to families in hardship in Ward 25, Bình Thạnh District, Ho Chi Minh City on 16 July, this morning (21 July 2021), Ashico’s leadership and the Trade Union visited, encouraged, and donated equipment to the doctors and medical staff of Thu Duc Regional General Hospital — which was receiving and treating nearly 1,000 moderate-to-severe Covid-19 patients. The donation included nearly 4,000 N95 masks, 500 sets of medical protective clothing, and 200 face shields, worth VND 65 million.

Ashico leadership and Trade Union donate medical equipment to Thu Duc Regional General Hospital on 21 July.

With this small and meaningful gift, we hope to contribute to meeting the urgent need for protective equipment supporting doctors and medical staff at the hospital, to strengthen the frontline, and to continue spreading the value of Ashico’s “Cooperation and Sharing” culture.
