On 21 and 22 August 2021, Ashico’s leadership together with the Trade Union visited and donated 10 tonnes of rice to residents in Tân Phú, Bình Tân, and Thu Duc City, and delivered 200 gift packages to people in hardship at Phú Hữu Ward, Thu Duc City, worth more than VND 180 million in total.

The prolonged social distancing in recent weeks has affected every aspect of social life. People’s savings are running out, and pressure from electricity bills, water bills, daily expenses, and meals is mounting. To continue the charity programmes joining hands to push back Covid-19 at Ashico, on 21 and 22 August 2021, the company’s leadership and the Trade Union visited and delivered 10 tonnes of rice and 200 gift packages to people in hardship across districts in Ho Chi Minh City.

10 tonnes of rice reached working people in difficulty: 3 tonnes to residents of Bình Hưng Hoà A Ward, Bình Tân District; 3 tonnes to residents of Tân Phú District; 4 tonnes to residents of Hiệp Bình Chánh and Linh Tây Wards, Thu Duc City.

Additionally on 21 August, 200 gift packages worth VND 50 million were delivered by Ashico’s leadership to residents at worker boarding houses and people in hardship at Phú Hữu Ward, Thu Duc City. Each package included: one chicken, 1 kg of pangasius fillet, 5 kg of rice, a tray of eggs, two bottles of soy sauce, herbs for steaming, and assorted vegetables.
