ASHICO Joins the “Lam Sơn Bookshelf” Charity Programme
On the afternoon of 15 September 2018, General Director Nguyễn Sơn and ASHICO staff representatives joined the “Lam Sơn Bookshelf Handover Ceremony — Như Thanh Mid-Autumn 2018” at Phú Nhuận Primary School, Phú Nhuận Commune, Như Thanh District, Thanh Hoa Province. This was the company’s second time at this meaningful event.
The Lam Sơn Bookshelf project is a charity programme that supports the development of small-scale library systems — “Classroom Bookshelves” — to reach all primary and secondary school students in Thanh Hoa Province.
The General Director, also a project board member, has always put his heart into charity activities, especially those for children — the green shoots of the country.
General Director Nguyễn Sơn, on behalf of the project and sponsors, handed over 316 bookshelves to primary schools in Như Thanh District.
At the event, an early Mid-Autumn Festival was organised for nearly 1,000 outstanding students from across Như Thanh District — with team-building activities such as “Rescuing Chú Cuội and Chị Hằng — Unity is Strength”, Mid-Autumn tray contests, circus acts, lion dances, etc. The programme left a deep impression on the children.
